Where Are You Going?

66,600 miles per hour while sitting still!
You are soaring through space at this incredible speed on the Earth’s annual orbit around the Sun. As fantastic as that is, you also are rapidly traveling through time. But, where are you going?
Is it wise to forge ahead when you don’t know where you are traveling? Would you fly with a pilot who doesn’t know where he is going? Of course not! Why then would you cruise through life without concern for you final destination?
ONE MAP
The Bible is life’s map. It has been scrutinized and tested for centuries and has proven to be trustworthy. It is the only safe guide for your future.
The Bible says there are only two possible destinations in life, Heaven and Hell (Matthew 7:13, 14). Jesus described Heaven as a place of joy, peace, and fulfillment. He said Hell is a cavern of pain, sadness, and punishment.
All of us would like to be in Heaven. However, Jesus made it very clear that everyone is plummeting away from God. We are on a crash course with death and Hell. Why? Because God is so pure that He cannot allow sin in Heaven. There are no loopholes or exceptions. No sin in Heaven...period!
All of our sins (big or small, many or few) are crimes against God. Unless we escape the responsibility of our sins, we will continue to careen down this awful pathway. However, if someone else becomes accountable for our sins, then our course can be redirected toward Heaven.
ONE WAY
Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). He is the only One who can put us on the road to Heaven. Therefore, He must take responsibility for our sins. He did! On the cross He suffered and “died for our sins” (I Corinthians 15:3). If any other way could take us to Heaven, why did Jesus die?
What will you choose? To ignore the question completely? To “wing it” and hope your good works or religious activities will place you on the way to Heaven? Or, will you depend on God’s only way to peace and safety, the Lord Jesus Christ? Accept Him as your Saviour today, and you will know for sure where you are going.
“These things have I written unto you... that ye may know that ye have eternal life.”
1 John 5:13.
